Salt Rock is a small seaside town just north of Ballito on the Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, a wonderful destination which creates a relaxed holiday atmosphere even for the locals.
The main beach in the town, which is perched along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal is idyllic for its palm trees and warm turquoise waters. As it is protected by shark nets in the water and lifeguards on the beach, it’s a fantastic choice for surfing, body-boarding, stand-up paddling and those who want to cool off in the temperate waters of the Dolphin Coast.
There are fishing spots along the coast from Salt Rock, through Shaka’s Rock to Ballito and Salmon Bay as well as beautiful reefs offshore alive with marine animals which will give divers hours of enjoyment.
Close to restaurants, pubs, shopping, entertainment and nightlife as well as a short drive to other popular charming beach towns and many other nearby tourist attractions.
